Energy Audits

As energy costs continue to rise, managing utility costs is now becoming a significant priority for many businesses.  Energy costs make up as much as 25 percent of an organization's overall operating budget - utility cost reductions can significantly improve profitability.  Tekton is dedicated to helping organizations manage those expenses and their associated environmental impacts.

Tekton offer two types of energy audits: A Benchmark Audit and a Baseline Audit. 


Benchmark - A Benchmark Audit is a general energy audit comparing similar building types.
Your Benchmark Energy Audit Includes:
  • A Non-Diagnostic Consultation (detailed, room by room evaluation of energy use that includes lighting, appliances, electronics, HVAC and airflow).
Upon Completion You Will Recieve:
  • A detailed report that shows current energy consumption including seasonal usage, and Energy Usage Intensity (EUI).
  • A worksheet that details your current lighting, recommendations for upgrades, and estimated annual costs savings.
  • A list of recommended modifications based on priority and energy savings potential.
  • A list of tax incentives and rebates available from local utility providers.
Baseline Audit - A Baseline Audit is a detailed energy audit using meters to obtain detailed analytic reporting.

Your Baseline Audit includes:
  • A Diagnostic Energy Consultation by Metering (detailed at sub-panel levels evaluation of energy use that includes all the features of the non-diagnostic).
 Upon Completion You Will Recieve:
  • All the reports, worksheets and lists included in the Benchmark Audit.
  • PLUS a detailed report that shows current energy consumption of specific meter targets including baseload, power factor, voltage usage, demand usage, operating costs and the Energy Usage Intensity (EUI).
  • And a report that shows energy consumption in three different power types: Apparent, Reactive and Real.
What to Expect With Your Energy Audit.

Your Energy Audit will consist of the following four steps.
  1. Perform historic energy use analysis prior to the site to determine base vs. seasonal usage.  Includes EUI and EPA Portfolio Manager for benchmarking.
  2. Perform a full facility inspection of all energy consuming items including HVAC, machinery, lighting, electronics, and lots more.
  3. Identify potential modifications that will reduce your energy use and/or operating costs.
  4. Prepare a report that documents the analysis and results.

Product Installation

Tekton provides a full turn-key product installation. We take care of everything from installation of product hardware to comprehensive testing to full commissioning of system.  We work closely with each client to ensure a smooth process and follow-up with 3 site visits after commissioning.  

Remote Management Service

This annual subscription service is hosted by Autani and provides the following tools:

Remote access portal. Gives customers anytime/ anywhere access to their EnergyCenter system's monitoring, configuration, and reporting features via the Internet.
Service provider access. Autani customers may elect to grant permission-based access to an Authorized Autani Service Provider. This enables the service provider to inspect, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and service the Autani Manager without having to travel to the site.
Alerts, via emails or text messages, are automatically relayed to designated individuals.
Configuration Backup Service insures that an onsite system failure will not require a complete recommissioning of the Autani Manager.
Consulting

Tekton can provide consulting services for all your integrated energy needs.  We've been involved in Charette for LEED and Green projects.
